Science week

This week is Science Week and Year 3 have been investigating the question ‘Can I design a kite that can fly?’

First, we shared what we already knew about kites, including Miss Lennon’s holiday pictures of kite flying on a beach in Northumberland 😀.

We then thought about what questions we needed to answer in order to build the best kite possible. From these questions, we tried to decide what investigations we could carry out to make sure we used the best materials to build our kite.

Read our ideas about some of the tests we thought we could carry out to help us decide the best possible way to build a kite.

Remember – only use your first name and do not give your correct email address.

Literacy homework – Wednesday 18th November, 2015

Hi everyone!

For Literacy homework this week, I would like you to think of other words that can be used instead of the word ‘said’.

Here are two examples:
“Pass me the ball!” shouted Cara.
“It’s raining,” yelled Miss Lennon, “everyone come inside.”

Can you think of anymore?

Challenge – write some sentences that include these words, just like the examples shown above.

E-Safety: FIRST name only and no real email addresses

Miss Lennon 🙂
